Our story
A Shop That Treats You Like Family
At Vitmar's Auto Repair, we believe good car care starts with honesty. Customers come to us for brakes, suspension work, oil changes, and tune-ups, and they come back because we tell them what their car actually needs, charge a fair price, and stand behind the work.
We service everything from hard-working fleet vehicles to older cars that need a careful hand to keep running great, including European makes like BMW. And when someone rolls in on a Saturday afternoon with a failing clutch, we've been known to run out for the part and stay past closing to get them back on the road.
You'll find us six days a week at 139 Market Way in Salinas, ready to help with a friendly smile.
- Known for honest diagnosis and fair pricing
- Open six days a week, including Saturdays
- Trusted with older cars, work fleets, and European makes
What customers say
“Great, honest shop which goes the extra mile for customers. The clutch on my very old Subaru started having issues when I visited Monterey last weekend. I called Vitmar's, they asked me to bring it in, did a quick check and saw that I needed a new slave cylinder. They ran out, got the new part, then stayed past their closing time to install it. I was rolling out with a newly fixed clutch at a fair price by 5:30pm. Makes me want to drive down here for ALL of my car repairs!”
“Great Service, Affordable Pricing, treats everyone like family, glad they are in this area. We have had brakes, suspensions, oil changes serviced on our work vehicles and personal vehicles including BMW and no issues. I strongly recommend Vitmar's.”
“Thank you to Lazaro and Mayra for their help in getting my car fixed and running well. I appreciate the quick and sure service to get a tune up and repair my lights. Everything was handled professionally and with a friendly smile. I will definitely recommend this business.”
